Pure L Carnitine Powder is a white crystalline or crystalline powder with a slight special odor. It is highly hygroscopic, deliquescing, or liquefying when exposed to air. The product is easily soluble in water, ethanol, alkaloid solution, and diluted mineral acid, but almost insoluble in acetone or ethyl acetate.

L-carnitine is highly moisture-absorbent, with the more stable forms being able to be stored in solutions of pH 3-6 for over a year. It can withstand high temperatures above 200°C, has good water solubility and water absorption.

Analytical Method of Assay

Transfer about 100 mg of Levocarnitine, accurately weighed, to a 250-mL flask, and dissolve in a mixture of 3 mL of formic acid and 50 mL of glacial acetic acid. Add 2 drops ofcrystal violet TS, and titrate with 0.1 N perchloric acid VS to an emerald green endpoint. Perform a blank determination, and make any necessary correction. Each mL of 0.1 N perchloric acid is equivalent to 16.12 mg of C7 H15 NO3 .

Dosage:

Various daily diets contain 5-100 mg of L-carnitine, but the average person can only obtain 50 mg per day from their diet. Vegetarians consume even less.
