3.Water Soluble Resveratrol Powder
⑴.Introduction to raw material solubility:
a. Hydroxypropyl- β- Cyclodextrin: easily soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, etc;
b.Resveratrol: easily soluble in methanol, ethanol, ether, acetone, etc;
Our resveratrol another technique is water soluble resveratrol, it is use Hydroxypropyl-β-Cyclodextrin to embed resveratrol. The assay of water soluble resveratrol powder is about 10%.It is fit for make melting-tablets.
⑵.Molecular embedding technology principle:
Formation of inclusion complex: Cyclodextrin and its derivatives generally form inclusion complex through non-covalent combination of guest molecules and cavities. Inclusion reaction is a dynamic process. The guest molecules continue to recombine with cyclodextrins, but also continue to recombine. Hydroxypropyl cyclodextrin is easier to form an inclusion complex with suitable guest molecules than the original cyclodextrin, because hydroxypropyl substitution of 2, 3 hydroxyl H atoms increases the length of the cyclodextrin cavity, and the hydroxyl on hydroxypropyl may also form a new hydrogen bond with the guest molecules, increasing the stability of the inclusion complex. Most studies show that hydroxypropyl cyclodextrin and guest molecules mainly form 1:1 inclusion complexes, but there are also 2:1 inclusion complexes or oligomers.

Guest release: The inclusion complex formed by cyclodextrin and its derivatives with the guest is partly for the purpose of protection, slow release or solubilization. In this case, the guest molecule will eventually be released from the cyclodextrin. The main factors leading to or accelerating the release of guest molecules are concentration change and competitive substitution, and the influence of temperature and pH is small. When the concentration of the solution changes greatly, the customer will release in a very short time, and the cyclodextrin compound drug will be released quickly after injection into the body, which has almost no effect on the original pharmacology of the drug. When the binding constant of cyclodextrin and guest molecule is 10-4M-1, the decrease of concentration is enough to make the guest release. However, for the inclusion complex with high binding force, the effect of concentration gradually decreases, even has no effect, and competitive substitution becomes the main factor. Small molecules such as methanol and ethanol can competitively replace the guest of inclusion complex. The binding constant is determined by the properties of cyclodextrin and guest molecule. Hydroxypropyl cyclodextrin has a higher binding constant than the parent cyclodextrin.
⑶. Analysis:
The most effective way to achieve insoluble or insoluble matter (embedded matter) is to dissolve the embedded matter in another solvent with the same polarity to form a uniform molecular phase through the principle of similar phase solubility, and then transfer it into the solution of cyclodextrin by dropping it into the cavity of cyclodextrin, and form a stable complex by the van der Waals force of hydrogen bond, Or the complex that can stably exist between cyclodextrin and water has reached the purpose of embedding. Therefore, appropriate solvent can be selected for embedding operation according to the solubility of each component.
Hydroxypropyl- β- Cyclodextrin can be well dissolved in water, but also in methanol and ethanol.
