What Is Propolis Powder?

Propolis powder is a powdered form of propolis. It is made from pure propolis extracted from raw propolis at low temperature. The material is then crushed at low temperature and refined with edible and pharmaceutical-grade ingredients.

The dried propolis is first crushed and then sieved. After that, an anti-caking agent such as ultra-fine silicon dioxide is added. This process produces propolis powder with good flowability and stability.

The main components of propolis bulk powder are purified propolis and silicon dioxide. The particle size and purified propolis content can be controlled from 30% to 80%. Is it true that the more the total flavonoid content in propolis, the better?

The total flavonoid content is only one important indicator of propolis quality. It is not the only factor that determines its value. Propolis also contains terpenoids, organic acids, enzymes, vitamins, and minerals. These compounds also contribute to its biological activity.

A high flavonoid content does not mean that other active compounds are also high. Different components vary independently. Their levels do not increase in a fixed ratio.
