Urolithin A 98% powder is a metabolite produced by the conversion of ellagitannins by gut bacteria. It belongs to the group of organic compounds called benzocoumarins or dibenzo-alpha-pyrones. Its precursors-ellagic acid and ellagitannins-are ubiquitous in nature, including edible plants such as pomegranates, strawberries, raspberries, and walnuts. Urolithin A powder has been the subject of preliminary research on its possible biological effects since the 2000s. It is not known to be present in any food source. ● Urolithin A 98% powder is a natural gastrointestinal microbial metabolite. When ingesting natural polyphenols, such as ellagitannins, they are transformed by gut microbes into Urolithin A.

UA was discovered 40 years ago, and until recently, people have explored it in depth. UA improves mitochondrial function through mitophagy and reduces inflammation, thereby enhancing cell health and mitigating inflammatory diseases. Several clinical studies show that UA can prevent aging, impact muscle health, and improve brain-related and joint-related diseases.

● Urolithin A 98% powder improves mitochondrial function by stimulating a process called mitophagy.

Mitophagy is the targeted engulfment and degradation of mitochondria by the autophagic apparatus and is generally considered the primary mechanism of mitochondrial quality control. Human clinical conclusions

● Nylolithin A has a good safety profile, with a single oral dose of UA up to 2000 mg or multiple oral doses of UA up to 1000 mg, showing no adverse reactions.

● Bioavailability is high, being available at all tested doses and not accumulating over time. Its half-life is relatively long (17-22 hours).

● Mitochondrial health markers were increased in subjects taking oral urolithin A supplementation. There was increased mitochondrial gene expression in bone-resorbing muscle tissue.
