Brief Introduction
Black Pepper Extract Powder is a broad-spectrum anticonvulsant with the chemical formula C17H19NO3. Colorless monoclinic prismatic crystal, odorless, with burning sensation after taste. Neutral to litmus reagents. Soluble in chloroform, ethanol, ether, soluble in benzene and acetic acid, almost insoluble in water and petroleum ether. It can be extracted and poured from the dried near-ripe or ripe fruit of the piperaceae plant, Piper nigrum L.. It has a good antagonistic effect on experimental electrical convulsions in mice.
