Extraction, separation and purification of DMY

The main methods for the extraction, isolation and purification of DMY from A. grossedentata leaves include reflux, ultrasonic, microwave, supercritical fluid chromatography, high-speed counter-current chromatography, crystallization and microporous resin adsorption. In addition to the traditional plant extraction methods, DMY can be produced with the help of brewer's yeast based on biotechnology by controlling the conditions in the bioreactor (Figure 4).The structural identification of Dihydromyricetin Powder is usually performed using nuclear magnetic resonance, X-ray diffraction, infrared radiation, UV-visible spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, while the identification of isomers is usually performed using techniques such as chiral column chromatography and circular dichroism.
