Description
Bulk Green Tea Extract Powder Supplier:
Bulk green tea extract powder extracted from green tea. Tea polyphenols (catechins) and other active compounds are isolated from green tea leaves. Green Tea Polyphenols (GTP) are the major component of green tea, accounting for around 30% of the dry matter. GTP is produced from tea offcuts (tea leaves, tea flakes, coarse old tea, or clipped leaves). It is a light green to brown powder. Guanjie Biotech has focused on green tea bulk extract powder for 20 years; we have our own test center and factory. Welcome to inquiry.
Why Choose Guanjie Biotech?
● Two independent factories and three production lines.
● Professional research team and has its own labs
● Provide the third-party testing.
● Have strong Collaborators: Northwestern University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences research center
Product Introduction:
Green Tea Bulk Extract Powder contains many ingredients. Catechins account for over 60%80% of total GTP, including 4%6% epigallocatechin (L-EC), 6%8% gallocatechin (D.L-EC), 10%15% epigallocatechin (L-EGC), 50%60% epigallocatechin gallate (L-ECG), and 8%10% caffeine. The GTP structure contains a lot of phenolic hydroxyl groups, which can give active hydrogen to inactivate free radicals, and the free radicals produced by oxidation have a lot of stability because of the catechol structure. As a result, GTP scavenges free radicals while suppressing lipid peroxidation.

What is Green Tea Extract Used for in the Food Field?
Bulk Green Tea Extract Powder is from the leaves of the tea plant, becoming a superhero in the food industry. It's a powerful, natural ingredient that helps preserve the color, freshness, and safety.
Meat and Poultry
Meat products are especially vulnerable. The fats can oxidize, and the surface is a perfect place for bacteria like Salmonella to grow.
● The Problem:
A package of ground beef or a slice of ham starts a healthy pink or red. But after a while, it can turn a grey or yellow color and develop a sour smell. This doesn't always mean it's unsafe, but it certainly makes it look old and unappealing.
●How Green Tea Helps:
When processing meats like ham, sausages, and cured meats, manufacturers can use a solution of green tea extract in a few ways: they can soak the meat in it, inject it, or spray it on the surface.

●The Double Benefit:
This application does two important jobs. First, the antioxidants directly prevent the fats in the meat from oxidizing, which protects the flavor. Second, and very cleverly, the bulk green tea extract powder polyphenols interact with proteins on the meat's surface, forming a thin, invisible film. This film acts like a protective shield. It limits how much oxygen can touch the meat, slowing color change, and it also makes it hard for bacteria to grow. By doing this, green tea extract keeps the meat looking fresh and pink for much longer. A bonus is that because it's so effective, food producers can sometimes use less of the synthetic preservatives, like sodium nitrite, which is great for consumers who want "cleaner" ingredient labels.
Cooking Oils and Fats:
Think about the bottle of vegetable oil in your cupboard or the oil you use for deep-frying. These oils, especially healthy ones high in polyunsaturated fats (like soybean or sunflower oil), can go bad over time.
● The Problem:
When oils oxidize, they become rancid. You'll know the smell-it's often described as "painty" or like old nuts. This process occurs more quickly when the oil is heated, such as during frying. Rancid oil doesn't just taste bad; it's also less healthy.
● How Green Tea Helps:
A small amount of bulk green tea extract powder is added directly to the oil during the manufacturing process. Because the extract is oil-soluble, it blends in perfectly.
● The Benefit:
The antioxidants in the extract work tirelessly to stop the chain reaction of oxidation. This keeps the oil fresh-tasting for longer, preserves its nutritional value, and extends its "frying life." This means a restaurant can use the same batch of oil for more frying cycles without the food tasting off. For products like bottled oils, margarine, and shortening, this translates to a longer shelf life and consistent quality.
Baked Goods and Snacks
From buttery crackers to rich pastries and moon cakes, many of our favorite treats are full of fats. This fat is what makes them delicious, but also what makes them go stale.
●The Problem:
Over time, the fat inside cookies, crackers, and pastries can migrate to the surface and oxidize. This gives them that classic "stale" flavor. In products with nuts or seeds, like moon cake fillings, these ingredients can go rancid quickly, ruining the whole product.
●How Green Tea Helps:
For baked goods, the solution is simple: mix bulk green tea extract powder directly into the dough or the filling. For items like crackers, a fine spray can be applied after baking.

●The Benefit:
By building the antioxidant right into the food's structure, the protection is everywhere. It preserves the intended, fresh-baked flavor, prevents off-notes from developing, and protects sensitive ingredients like nuts. This means your snack will taste as good on the last day of its shelf life as it did on the first.
Drinks, Dairy, and Seafood
The uses for bulk green tea extract powder keep expanding into other parts of the grocery store.
●Beverages:
In fruit juices and sports drinks, green tea extract prevents the oxidation of delicate flavors and colors. For example, it can help stop apple juice from browning. As a bonus, it allows the brand to add a "rich in antioxidants" health claim to the label.
●Dairy Products:
Milk, yogurt, and cheese can develop metallic or cardboard-like off-flavors when their fats oxidize. Green tea extract inhibits this process. In fresh cheeses and yogurts, its mild antimicrobial effect can also add a few extra days to the shelf life.
●Seafood:
Fish and shellfish are packed with healthy omega-3 fatty acids, which are extremely fragile and prone to oxidation. This is a major cause of the "fishy" smell that indicates declining freshness. By dipping or spraying seafood with a bulk green tea extract powder polyphenol solution, producers can effectively delay this process, ensuring the fish stays fresher during its journey from the ocean to your plate.
