Pinitol content analysis
1) machinery : HPLC(High performance liquid chromatography)
2) Preparation of Carob Seed Extract Powder Standard solution: Make the final volume 100 by adding 50% Acetonitrile of carob seed extract D-pinitol powder standard 1g. The standard solvent is to filter this by a 0.45 μm membrane filter.

(1) Quantitative analysis
Measure the width of the peak after 20ul injection of the test and standard solvents
each, calculate the carob seed extract powder pinitol content(%) with the below method.
Pinitol content(%)= (B/A) * purity of standard one(%)
A : Area value of the standard solvent
B : Area value of test solvent
To measure more accurate contents, repeat the above analysis 3~5 times to decide the final
pinitol content with the average value.
Moisture content analysis method
1) Heat at 105'C for 4 hrs in a dry oven and measure the weighing balance of the room temperature (a).
2) Measure accurate 3g Carob Seed Extract Powder of subject on regular weighing balance (b).
3) Dry at 105'c for 4 hrs in a dry oven
4) Place at room temperature for 30 mins at desiccator after drying
5) Measure the regular weighing balance(c).

What is D-pinitol?
Carob Seed Extract Powder is a naturally occurring substance that belongs to the class of inositols, a class of compounds consisting of nine different isomers. Inositol is similar to a six-membered monosaccharide (i.e. glucose). However, it is not a sugar, but a cycloalditol. Like monosaccharides, inositol is a part of the human diet. And there is evidence that it is non-toxic. Pineol differs from other inositols in that it contains a methyl ether group. Studies have shown that pinitol has different biological activities than other inositols. The natural product pinitol is found in certain legumes (such as soybeans), some other plants, fruits, and pine trees. Chemically, carob seed extract powder D-pinitol is defined as inositol. The best source of pinitol is in carob pods. Carob trees are resistant to adverse environmental conditions and generally do not require special treatments such as intensive farming or pesticides.

Carob Seed Extract Powder D-Pinitol is a sugar alcohol compound widely found in plants. The following are its specific chemical and physical properties.
1. Chemical properties
• Structural characteristics:
D-Pinitol Carob Seed Extract Powder belongs to the cyclohexane polyol compound. Its molecular structure is five hydroxyl groups and one methyl group connected to cyclohexane. It has a specific stereochemical structure. It has unique chemical properties and biological activity.

• Stability:
Carob Seed Extract Powder D-Pinitol is relatively stable under normal environmental conditions. However, under extreme conditions such as high temperature, strong acid, and strong base, its molecular structure may change. For example, under strong acid conditions, protonation of hydroxyl groups may occur, resulting in changes in the activity and properties of the molecule. • Reactivity

Hydroxyl groups can also participate in etherification reactions. It reacts with other compounds containing hydroxyl groups or halogen atoms to form ether compounds.
2. Physical properties
• Appearance:
