Stevia extract powder is extracted from the leaves of the plant Stevia. Many countries have been using stevia as a herb and sugar substitute for hundreds of years. According to data from the international sweetener industry, stevioside has been widely used in the production of food, beverages, and seasonings in Asia, North America, South America, and European Union countries. China is the world's leading producer of stevia, as well as a producer and exporter of stevioside.
