It refers to sodium copper chlorophyll as the dark green powder and it extracts from silkworm excrement, clover, alfalfa, bamboo's leaves. We use acetone, methanol, ethanol and petroleum ether and other organic solvent extraction. Magnesium ions is at the center of the copper ions replace the chlorophyll. Preparation Technology
● The chlorophyll rich raw materials are dried at 40~ 50 e and ground into powder sodium copper chlorophyllin powder. The mixture of ethanol-acetone (1/1) with 3 times the powder content was extracted at 40~45 e for 2.5h. And the filter residue was extracted again with the same volume of ethanol-acetone mixture. We combine two extracts and add NaOH to adjust pH value to 11. Heat saponification (about 50 degrees) for 30min.
● Whether saponification is complete can be judged by petroleum ether extraction, the upper liquid yellow is complete saponification. After saponification is complete, distillate and concentrate the recovery mixture (about 60 degrees) until the volume is 1/4~ 1/3 of the original.
● Then petroleum ether was extracted 4 times. The lower layer was adjusted to the pH value of 7 with hydrochloric acid, and adjusted to the pH value of 2 with copper sulfate, and 2h with copper at 50 degrees.
● At the end of the reaction, the existing granular precipitates are formed and left to cool. The precipitation was collected at room temperature and washed with 50~ 60 ℃ water and then with 30% ~ 40% ethanol until the ethanol layer was light green.
● Then wash with petroleum ether until petroleum ether layer is light green. The cake was dissolved in acetone and precipitated with 5% NaOH ethanol solution at pH 12. The precipitates were collected and the prepared product was washed with anhydrous ethanol.
● During the preparation process, the reaction temperature is not too high, and the pH value should be adjusted carefully. Too high temperature and too large or too small pH value can decompose chlorophyll.

It can dye green natural dye less, and chlorophyll copper sodium salt is a kind of food grade green color pigment, is a natural chlorophyll derivatives, can be extracted after saponification, copper reaction, and refined, is a kind of metal porphyrin with high stability, dark green powder, slightly metallic luster.
● Cosmetic
It can be added to cosmetics as dye. Sodium copper chlorophyll salt is dark green powder, odorless or slightly smelly. The water solution is transparent green, deepening with the increase of concentration, light resistance, heat resistance, good stability. The pH of 1% solution is 9.5~10.2. When the pH is below 6.5, calcium can be precipitated. Slightly soluble in ethanol. Acid drinks are easy to precipitate. Light resistance is stronger than chlorophyll, heating to 110℃ above decomposition. Due to its stability and low toxicity, sodium copper chlorophyll is widely used in cosmetics industry.
